This department is charged with responsibilities of managing human, financial and material resource. The department has three (3) units namely:

  • Administration
  • Accounts
  • Store.
Planning, Research and Statistics
This department is saddle with ministerial programmes, projects and data analysis, it has three units; planning, monitoring/evaluation and procurement.
  • Preparation of MTSS, SPR and annual budget.
  • Prepare annual fiscal proposal of the Ministry.
  • Coordinating management meetings.

Monitoring and Evaluation Unit

 

  • Data collection, data analysis and documentation.

Procurement Unit
Preparation of procurement and tender process
  • Forestry Department
  • Production of seedlings and distribution.
  • Establishment of shelterbelt and natural forest reserve development
  • Tree planting campaign
  • Forest extension and mass mobilization
  • Development of forest nurseries
  • Development of industrial tree crops and indigenous tree.
  • Maintenance of second forestry project structures and facilities.
  • Management of all forest reserve in the state.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders in the execution of government policies and programme e.g. NAGGW, DDA and Climate change as well as Federal Ministry of Environment.

  • Institutional premises inspection
  • Industrial, factories inspection
  • Awareness creation and sensitization
  • Weekly market monitoring
  • Environmental surveillance
  • Mosquito scouting and larva destruction
  • Waste recycling, fumigation, food hygiene (safety and security) among others.
  • All environmental sanitation activities are planned coordinated monitored for proper implementation with a view to ensure that our communities live in good and healthy environment
